I am motivated by an unquenchable thirst for learning, for change, for new ideas. My personal satisfaction and fulfillment come from constant change and continued evolution. Painting and creating are the methods I use to guarantee my progression as a human being.
I am viscerally impassioned by color, which I take full advantage of by choosing the fullest range of colors in my palette while creating. Through my practice of intuitive painting I feel I am able to express intangibles of my essence with truth and honesty on canvas. This passion of uncovering essence through painting, gives me a deep sense of belonging.
I am motivated by this unquenchable thirst for learning, for change, for newness. Change is often discomforting, however, the secret to my personal satisfaction and fulfillment is constant change, continued evolution. Painting and creating are the methods I use to guarantee my progression as a human being.
I continue to be viscerally impassioned by color, which I take full advantage of by choosing the fullest range of colors in my palette while creating. On the subsurface, I wish to convey truth and honesty in the work – through my practice of intuitive painting. These are vague terms appropriately describing intangibles. Uncovering essence through painting is my passion. Expressing it on canvas enables me to incorporate my essence, which gives me a sense of belonging.
I was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. I was self employed as a General Contractor for a decade prior to starting a family in 1999. In 2002 I decided to try my hand at pastel painting in Howard County where I currently reside with my family. The creative process grabbed hold of me and never let go, further studying oils, watercolor, and acrylics through continuing education courses at MICA and the Corcoran.
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking & canning (EAT LOCAL!), yoga, cycling, discovering new music, concerts, being outdoors, and of course seeking visual inspiration!
